Release notes
Added
global.bindAddress— new chart-wide value (default0.0.0.0) that threads into engine, coordinator, worker, and experience-api pod listeners. Set to::to bind every Arcade pod on IPv6, which also accepts IPv4 connections via IPv4-mapped IPv6 on Linux (net.ipv6.bindv6only=0). Defaults preserve the previous IPv4-only behavior — no action required on upgrade.global.ipFamilyPolicyandglobal.ipFamilies— optional values that setspec.ipFamilyPolicyandspec.ipFamilieson every chart-managed Service (engine, coordinator, experience-api, worker, dashboard). Useful for dual-stack or IPv6-only clusters; leaving them unset keeps the Kubernetes default (single-stack IPv4).
Operator impact
- All new values are optional. Defaults match the previous rendered output, so a no-values upgrade is a no-op.
- For dual-stack or IPv6 clusters, set
global.bindAddress: '::'and (typically)global.ipFamilyPolicy: PreferDualStackwithglobal.ipFamilies: [IPv4, IPv6]. See the README's networking section for the full table. - Dashboard pods already bind both IPv4 and IPv6 via the bundled nginx config; no change there.
- OTEL collector subchart values are not templated from the parent chart, so an IPv6 deployment that adds the collector needs a manual
[::]:<port>listener override in that subchart's values. - No RBAC, secret, or Kubernetes-version changes.
kubeVersionremains>=1.30.0-0.
API & behavior
- Image tags advance in lockstep with
appVersion: per-serviceimage.tagdefaults for dashboard, engine, worker, experience-api, and coordinator move frome3fb0abtoac72220. Installs that pin<service>.image.tagin their values file are unaffected.
